Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first gymnast to earn a 10. competing in the Olympics. Bela Karolyi later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci at just six years old. Her first competition was in the national junior championships in which she finished 13th in the year 1969. In 1970, she took home the title. In her first international competition in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she won three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she became an overall junior champion. In 1975, she won four golds and one silver in her first senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. The first female ever to perform the backwards double salto after dismounting from an unbalanced parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens, she began performing in traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol entered the entertainment industry when she was in her teens. Her first professional gig was figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment shows Ice Capades. The shows featured ice skating which included stage performances.
